Organic chemistry and its applications to biological and agricultural chemistry, including chemistry of functional groups, acid-base and redox chemistry, stereochemistry and chemistry of important biological compounds. Not to be used as the basis for further study in organic chemistry or biochemistry.
Prerequisites:
The prerequisite for registration in Chemistry 242 laboratory is concurrent registration in, or credit for, Chemistry 222 and credit for Chemistry 101, Chemistry 103 or Chemistry 107.
“Credit For” means credit recorded on the transcript for passing this course with a passing grade or for passing appropriate tests to obtain credit.
